These technicians play a crucial role in healthcare settings by monitoring and evaluating heart rhythms through various medical devices, such as electrocardiograms (ECGs) and Holter monitors.
This module contains in-depth study of the structure and function of the heart, including the electrical conduction system and a heart dissection.
Students will learn the building blocks of ECGs including Einthoven’s triangle, heart rate determination, proper ECG lead placement and technique
Participants will learn identification and classification of various heart rhythms, including sinus rhythms, heart block, atrial and ventricular arrhythmias.
The program is laced with medical terminology explanations to aid in understanding the specialized language used in healthcare, particularly related to the cardiovascular system.

This course provides a Certificate of Course Completion only and is intended for CRAT exam preparation. It does not grant the Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician credential, determine eligibility to sit for the CRAT exam, or guarantee exam passage.
